Linda Gottfried

Linda Gottfried

Museum Product Manager
for Aurora Storage Products, Inc.

Role:
As sales manager, I oversee all aspects of our museum line, beginning with the design and production of the best storage cabinets and high density museum storage systems on the market. Our storage systems and cabinets are based upon direct feedback which was provided from curators and collection personnel who identified what they were looking for in their storage system. I am the direct contact for the customer, during the entire process, from consultation to production and installation. I pride myself on keeping the customer updated at all times and always being available to answer questions and resolve any issues that may arise.

Experience:
I began my career in the museum storage business in 1993, when I became employed by the Interior Steel Equipment Company in Cleveland, Ohio. As a result of being able to work directly with the owner, as well as the engineers, I was able to educate myself on all aspects of the cabinet business, from design and engineering, to sales and installation. Though I have been employed by other manufacturing companies since that time, all of my experience has been focused on developing the best design and concentrating on outstanding customer service for the museum storage clients. Each progressive move has allowed me to re-evaluate our product…to understand customer's needs and evaluate our finished product so that today, we can offer the best quality cabinet on the market.

Fine Arts Specialist

I have been involved in fine art handling since I graduated with an MFA from U. of Md. Specializing in stone sculpture in 1983. Mastery of the specialized tools necessary to accomplish the safe handling of my stones, many weighting in the multiple tons, became an advantage as the increased use of Art Handlers instead of riggers and tradesmen was considered a necessity, especially in difficult and sensitive Art projects.

I have always considered that artists who work in scale and scope, potentially make the best Art Handlers. Certainly, the Artist and their studios, past and present, whose Art I am entrusted with are. I believe and practice the Art of Art Handling.
